Presentation of the digital project Cómo se condensa el vapor de agua
19h - Fabra i Coats. Barcelona (Spain)
Cómo se condensa el vapor de agua (How does water vapour get condensed) is an interactive sound artwork, comprising eight audio tracks which makes use of the respiratory system to represent the various uses, transformations, and transfers of water vapour within urban and industrial environments. Generating a symbolic relationship between body and machine –in which industry transforms water and steam into resources in a similar way human body does– this project makes use of the voice and the oral transmission of knowledge as poetic and political tools to question the submission relations existing within the urban context and the extractivist narratives produced by the constant transformation of natural resources into quantifiable, productive, and consumable materials.
Cómo se Condensa el Vapor de Agua (2024) is part of Idensitat's programme ART TERRITORI DATA (ATD), a framework for reflection and research about the idea of alternate-territories, in reference to places, media, and the positioning of artistic practice + info

Nature is ancient, but surprises us all
CENTRUM. Berlin (Germany)
The exhibition Nature Is Ancient, But Surprises Us All (curated by Marenka Krasomil) examines the artistic and everyday treatment of what is commonly conceived as landscape, and delves deeper into it. Landscape as a surrounding space can never be equated with nature; beyond flora and fauna, it always also contains the built and the designed. Its own narratives are formed. Historical processes, climatic, social, political, geographical, and philosophical references are deeply inscribed in it.
Participating artists: Sara Agudo Millán, Natalia Domínguez, Sergio Monje and Barbara Sánchez Barroso.
The exhibition is the result of the SAC International Curatorial Residency Programme, the residency programme of Sant Andreu Contemporani, organised jointly with the Institut Ramon Llull and in collaboration with Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona, aimed at international curators.

POV: a través de la pared [POV: through the wall]
a sound piece for Cita Previa, and art and contemporary culture podcast run by Pas une Orange and Blueproject Foundation.
En POV: a través de la pared, Natalia Domínguez revisits some of the ideas of her previous work Technoconstructivismo to think, on this occasion, about how sound travels through architectural solids. Moving between ambient, sound mapping, DJing and recital, this podcast questions the sound relations we generate with and through the walls of our contemporary living environments.

Quan ja no ens escalfa el sol
La Capella (Barcelona)
Quan ja no ens escalfa el sol (When the Sun No Longer Warms Us) explores how constructivist violence and processes such as gentrification affect our bodies. It is an on-site project, a space for dialogue, a choreography. Gentrification is movement, displacement, an intimate relationship with a space that is breaking down, with a territory. Created from the direct effect of an urban change, the works act to trigger a collective process in which the exhibition becomes an installation, sound and dance, thereby offering other possibilities to tackle a problem in our cities.
An exhibition curated by Zaida Trallero with artworks form Joana Capella Buendia, Aymara Arreaza R, Natalia Domínguez y Georgia Vardarou.

¿Existe la montaña? [Does the mountain exist?]
Mèdol - Centre d'Arts Contemporànies de Tarragona (Spain)
In ¿Existe la montaña?, Carlos Aparicio and Natalia Domínguez present a sound piece that sketches a multifaceted portrait of our relationship with the landscape. Through discursive but also sonic processes, such as foley and sample, they have worked on the generation of a ‘scenographic’ landscape, where the limits of the narrator and the ‘storyteller’ are considered as resources through which to propose, finally, fictions.

Una forma incontrolable [An uncontrollable shape]
Festival FACBA'22. Instituto de América - Centro Damián Bayón. Santa Fe, Granada (Spain)
Una forma incontrolable is the result of a series of formal and conceptual possibilities that question those materialities whose corporeality is defined by other bodies, other gestures, other forms and other names. Resorting to landscape excuses such as the cloud and the mountain, the works presented free themselves from their references in an attempt to reach a consensus with the intangible, the useless and the need to coexist with realities that we cannot encompass. Because as well as naming, to reify is to want to conquer.

The artistic practice of nataliadomínguez (Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, 1990) makes use of installation, sculpture and sound to delve into the material and affective relations that take place in our contemporary post-industrial landscapes, unravelling systems of meaning and relational networks between the subject and the object.
Her projects think the present as a consequence of a series of oppressive and extractive conditions produced by human action, focusing on the power relations that permeate our bodies.
From a speculative position, her works generate transitory spaces and fluid conditions from which to explore the subtle, contradictory and vulnerable relationships between living and nonliving. In this way, her work explores ways of representation for those physicalities complicated to be contained -whether in physical, conceptual or ontological terms-, while exploring the nature of those objects whose materials are made to last beyond human existence, making evident how our system of life implies the end of life itself.
